Contact Us With All Of Your Indoor Pest Issues

As much as we’d like to believe that our homes belong only to us, pests are frequent visitors (even if we don’t regularly see them). Ants, spiders, roaches, fleas, and rodents commonly invade our houses and cause fear and frustration. Below are just a few examples of the indoor pests we commonly treat. No matter your issue though, we can help. Call us today!

Ants

Even though there are more than 10,000 ant species in the world, Southern California is luckily home to only a handful of them. Homeowners may see the Argentine, Pharaoh, Carpenter, and the Southern Fire Ant. The Carpenter will chew on wood and has the potential to do some severe home damage. Trying to rid yourself of Pharaoh’s may do more harm than good. The introduction of insecticides will cause the colony to split, creating two distinct colonies. These creative pests have been seen trying to drink from the corner of sleeping babies’ mouths and active IV bottles.

We are certified to use Termidor. Termidor is unsurpassed in obtaining 100% control of ant populations around the exterior of structures. Termidor is a material ants transport back to their nest, eliminating the entire colony—GUARANTEED!

Spiders

While not the most destructive of the potential house pests, spiders are often seen as the least wanted due to their “creep” factor. There are a handful of different species that homeowners may encounter in Camarillo, including the Wolf Spider and Orb Weaver. Black Widows have been seen in Southern California, and they do have potent venom. As you read this, there likely are, on average, 62 spiders in your home. They show up when there is an adequate food supply, so their presence may mean something else is lurking around. While spiders are generally considered benign in their natural setting, an infestation in the home can lead to nightmares and insomnia.

Roaches

Another frequent but not publicly discussed pest is the roach. While they are often seen as the product of a dirty home, roaches can get in with a simple ride on a grocery bag or cardboard moving box. They are also frequent spreaders of disease, as well as potentially making asthma and allergy issues worse. California is home to multiple species of cockroaches that can become an indoor problem. The Oriental, Turkestan, and the flying American Cockroach are at the top of the list. Management can get complicated very quickly, so contacting a professional is essential.

Fleas

Even households without pets can find themselves in the middle of a flea infestation, especially during the warmer months of the year. While fleas are an annoyance, they pose a health hazard to humans. Their bites can cause pain or trigger allergic responses. Infestations can have severe consequences for pets (like tapeworms, flea allergic dermatitis, etc.). A problem may not be noticed until it has gotten significantly out of hand because they are so tiny. However, because the issues involved with having an infestation in the home are not tiny, even one flea should be taken seriously.

Rodents

Rats and mice can damage your home by chewing through drywall, insulation, and electrical wiring. Rats non-stop growing teeth are strong enough to even chew through concrete, which they do in an effort to prevent the incisors from penetrating through their heads. They are also potential carriers of multiple diseases. Many of these illnesses have the potential to be dangerous, like the hantavirus and leptospirosis. Don’t underestimate their intelligence. It’s the cause of the eternal quest of building a better mousetrap. They are prolific breeders, so any signs of a rodent infestation need to be handled by a professional pest management company.
